At Serafí Industria Gráfica Publicitària, S.A., we take responsibility for our role in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development. We are committed to responsible environmental management that minimizes the impact of our activities, products, and services on the environment.
This policy aims to integrate environmental protection into our business model. Therefore, our environmental commitments are based on the following principles:
1. Emission Reduction and Energy Efficiency
We support a cleaner and more sustainable energy model. Currently, 33% of our energy consumption comes from the photovoltaic solar plant installed on our premises. From 2025 onwards, the remaining electricity we consume will come entirely from renewable sources, allowing us to operate with 100% green energy.
We also inform our clients, through our document management, about our efforts to reduce emissions by using solar energy in our production processes, promoting transparency and shared value.
In addition, we prioritize the acquisition of equipment that incorporates carbon-neutral manufacturing processes, whenever technically and economically feasible.
2. Responsible Use of Materials
We are certified under FSC® and PEFC™, which attest to our commitment to responsible forest management. We use certified paper and substrates, ensuring that they come from legally, sustainably, and environmentally managed sources.
This choice strengthens our commitment to forest conservation, biodiversity, and the responsible use of natural resources.
3. Efficient Water Management
Water is an essential resource for the planet’s biodiversity. For this reason, we optimize our internal processes to reduce water consumption, limiting it exclusively to basic human use, without compromising quality or workplace safety.
4. Waste Management
We implement efficient and responsible waste management, ensuring traceability and treatment in accordance with applicable legislation.
- We submit our waste collection report through the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC), complying with current regulations.
- We are registered on the SCRAP IMPLICA platform, demonstrating our commitment to the proper management of packaging waste and other regulated streams.
- We are also registered as waste producers and product producers, in line with the applicable legal requirements.
5. Responsible Investment and Sustainable Innovation
All our investments take environmental impact as a key criterion. We prioritize clean technologies, more efficient machinery, and innovative solutions that contribute to a more sustainable graphic arts industry.
6. Regulatory Compliance and Continuous Improvement
We comply with all applicable environmental legislation and continuously strive to go beyond it through ongoing process improvement, environmental training for our team, and collaboration with clients and suppliers to achieve shared sustainability goals.
This policy has been approved by Management and is reviewed periodically to ensure its suitability, relevance, and effectiveness, reinforcing our commitment to a more sustainable future.
